Peavy, Mr. Young Black & Gifted

“Mr. Young Black & Gifted”

Although I let myself in without permission, I believe it is rude to leave without saying goodbye, so I will make it short and sweet and be on my way. I thank everyone who’s read, believed and/or supported me in my endeavors as a writer; it’s been greatly appreciated. Prior to my publishing career I promised myself a few things, one of which being, I will not write forever regardless of how much I love it. And now that I’ve proved my point, accomplished what I knew I could and had the last laugh, it’s time for me to do something else.

As planned this fall I will begin working towards becoming an English professor, silently completing my currently untitled screenplay and continue to deliver the goods as “Nick Lorraine” for SIHH (Strong Island Hip Hop.com). As I said before, I’m done with books. And of course I’ll never fully retire, I tried that already, I’m a writer for better or worst, published or not, that’s just how it is. I hate the business but love the art, and so I shall teach and inspire others to do what I enjoy most, express myself through literature. So as of now, Peavy has published his last book, edited his last line and made room for someone else…and with that, you may now play the Sinatra. I’m gone.
